"The Cats will play host to UAB in the 2016 season, according to the website. That game will be played on September 3, 2016. UAB kept it somewhat close at Mississippi State two weeks ago, losing 47-13 to the now 14th-ranked team. "

2016 Non-conference slate.

9/3 AT Kentucky
9/10 AT South Alabama
9/17 Troy
10/1 AT Georgia State
We can go 4-0.
Now that's an SEC body bag game I can get behind!
That should be a really interesting game. Stoops 4th year vs. Clark's third year team. Who has succeeded the best at turning their program around.
100 bucks says Kentucky refuses to come to Legion.

for some reason, the only SEC school that I can remember that had the testicular fortitiude to do a home and "home" in football with UAB was "Moo-U"...Am I Wrong?
Wasn't Ole Miss supposed to come to Birmingham?

I suspect that in three years, Clark will either be gone, or some will be wanting him gone.

Well if they play in the Bham Bowl they may make the trip.

Yeeeeaaaaah...because this is a one-game deal at their place. Your standard "buy game".

That's because we negotiated a 2-for-1 deal with them (or was it straight home/home...don't think so). There's always a buyout in non-conference contracts for both teams and Ole Miss exercised theirs...so they paid $$ instead of coming to LF.

Kentucky is a one-game deal at their place.

That's because you are both cynical and a dyed-in-the-wool pessimist.

Me thinking that he will be gone because of how he turned UAB around is not pessimism.

If he gets UAB to a bowl game this year, he will already have job offers on the table. The question is does he jump immediately or hold out for something better.
How 'bout curmudgeon? 03-wink
Ole Miss was a home and home and the Kentucky game has been done for a long time now. Not sure why it took so long for it to be announced. It is a buy game.
Yeah, but it's a *winnable* buy game. Well done, Brian Mackin.
Oh I agree.

Supposedly yes but like majority of $EC teams they fail to live up to their return trips & buy out of it so it still ends up a 1 game deal for $$$. To date only MissSt has been gracious enough to return the favor even if it was in a 2 for 1 pkg.
