I’m obtained my tickets (stub hub) for the Vany game and plan on driving to the Nashville while picking my daughter up enroute in Huntsville.

The Vany Marriott seems to be a logical place to stay; however, but charges 30 dollars (35 vallet) a day for parking—really???

The Trip Advisor has mixed reviews at this hotel (location to other Nashville venues, no breakfast included, $$$$) but the location might be ideal for tail gating and then walking to the game???

Any insights for attending games/ tail gating at Vanderbilt?

The hotel the team is staying in is even more expensive hotel than the Vany Marriott…….might have to bring my 1976 Green VW Camper Bus compete with ODU spare tire cover---not
I recommend the courtyard at vandy. Just stayed there and they have a free shuttle anywhere in a 3 mile radius. They give you the drivers number and they come and get ya wherever. It's right beside hattie b's chicken and can get a huge platter to go. Tons of nice bars and places all walking distance and a 1 mile trip to stadium and 1 mire the other direction to downtown.
Get a cab for 25 flat rate from hotel.
Go to the Pancake Pantry. Get there early! But it's amazing. Line is long but moves pretty quick. As stuff comes to mind I'll update. I was just there for 3 days for a wedding.
I used trip advisor and rented an apartment right downtown. seemed like a better deal than a hotel in the same area.

I have not idea what I'm doing for tailgating though. I have other friends going who I think are trying to coordinate that.
While I was there it was the Vandy/USC game. If you guys go you might outnumber the Vandy fans. It was insane. There must have been 10k Gamecock fans and I saw maaaaaybe 50 Vandy shirts.

I guess even in Nashville most people wear orange.

That's where I stayed when I visited Nashville last month. Was a little disappointed in the heat with Hattie B's (at least compared to Pepperfire), but it was solid chicken all the same. Nice hotel, close enough to the stadium to walk, especially since it'll probably be neither too hot nor too cold.

Pancake Pantry is an absolute must, but word to the wise: forget I ever said anything about them not taking credit cards. And the line will seem daunting, but it moves fast. Even if your pancake choice does not come with the cinnamon cream syrup, get the cinnamon cream syrup.

Campus is nice. Make sure to amble through it at some point.

Broadway is a scene to be sure, but once you've done it, you've done it. Printer's Alley has a nice blues club. Probably not enough time to hit the Opry, but I was surprisingly entertained when I went last year. East of downtown is very Ghent-like.

I used my VISA there Saturday morning.

edit: wait... let me check my acct! haha maybe I didn't. lot's of drinking last weekend.
Yup, just confirmed used my visa debit card.
Oh, now I know what I was thinking. The Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg does not take credit cards. It's also a must visit there because all other food in that tourist hellscape is mediocre at best. Well, that and the moonshine.

How many of you would be interested in a Tailgate? I live about 20-25 minutes from campus and get something organized if we have enough interest.

We will be traveling for the game and would love to meet up with some fellow Monarchs. Just tell us what to bring!

The thread I had on the Vandy board appears to be gone .... Unless there some sort of mobile limitation. Can only see posts from 8/29 forward.
