O'Korn threw two picks and we let UNLV score first. We have an inept head coach who should still be coaching special teams. Travis Bush seems to be panning out though. David Gibbs is a good defensive coordinator, but we need to stop letting teams score first on us.

Therefore, and I hope my fellow Coogs join me on this, I'm calling for the firing of head coach Tony Levine. As you can see, above the aerial view of John O'Quinn Field at TDECU Stadium is a little hashtag that says "#FireTony" in my signature. I hope my fellow Coogs on this board follow suit.

they scored twice the entire game, and the second score was aided by 60yds of penalties all in the same drive for them ...

but you want him to be fired because they scored first???

guess ucf should call for o'leary to be fired since the fcs scored first on them, oregon should just fire the entire staff Wyoming scored first on them...bama should just fire saban wvu scored first

what is in the air today..we have a blowout easy win vs an fbs team that was a bowl team last year and 1 houston fan makes a thread to complain about okorn and spread ill will towards him that will likely only spread a negative image about him..and now we have a thread calling for the firing of our head coach because we let them score first in a game we started running out the clock early 4th quarter..

im not a levine fan but this thread is ridiculous....wait till after the next 3 game strectch with ucf/memphis and temple who are all looking to be bowl teams ,if we lose most of those games, id understand this thread..but because we didtnt blow them out the way you liked is the most ridiculous thread ever
No. No, you're right. It's just...it seems like we're stuck in mediocrity.

like i said im not a fan of levine...but lets see how he does the next 3 games before we get out the pitch forks.. 11-2/10-3(including bowls) are still great seasons even 9-4 is live-able..all of those are still reachable

telling everyone to get out the pitch forks after a blowout win just seems pre-mature and unnecessary

It is. And yes, you're right. We need to see what's going to happen. It's just...d*mn it! We're better than 2-2. We know we're better than 2-2! BYU is a good team. So is UTSA. Still, we should have at least beaten one of them.

We won because our athletes were dramatically better than theirs. In our previous 2 games vs FBS level talent we had -26 yards rushing in one and and +10 yards rushing in the other. For the season against FBS teams we had -16 yards. We are not beating anyone with a pulse with our running game. We ran tonight because Bushes high school passing game is so easy to defend that even using superior athletes we can't get open. No crossing patterns, no double moves. The passing game is a joke. It's not the Air Raid. It's the Air Joke.

We ran because they easily stopped our passing offense. We ran because we had to to win. Our rushing statistics going into this game indicicate that setting up the pass by using the run wont be an option against many other opponents this year.

like i said lets wait and see..bush has shown, he'll completely change the offense depending on the team .. i agree what we say today wont be as effective vs better teams.. but what we saw today was 100% different than what we saw vs byu...we ran 10% of the time vs byu and ran 80% vs grambling/unlv...so what we saw today might not be what we see vs the better teams...

and lets not act like unlv is some 1-11 fcs team, they were a bowl team last year and have numerous NFL level players on their team..i dont get how a comfortable blow out is being scrutinized so much by our fans...we get it our fans including myself doesn't like bush but trying to find faults in 47-10 wins honestly is reaching ..remove the utsa game, and 100% of our fans would be praising the last 3 performances instead of constantly being negative. the problem is some of us have a problem letting things go, we can't change the past and we aren't changing staff midseason ..so let's just enjoy the ride
who would the to 3 targets/wish lists coaches be for UH right now?

We need to bring in an offensive minded person to Houston. We need to pay coach Gibbs and keep him as the DC.
Lincoln Riley

We should of hired Kliff when we had the chance. I was all for it at the time. Most of the fan base thought he "wasn't experienced enough". LOL

I like Gibbs, he brings tremendous experience to the table and has turned our defense to one of the best in the country... I say, we give him the HC gig and let him hire an explosive OC and call it a day.
There's still a lot of ball to play. I agree with pesiks fist post. Let's check back in a few weeks.

This is news to me... I was not aware he didn't want to be a HC... Perhaps staying far away from all the BS drama it's best at some point.... Not sy'n, just sy'n.
