What are the chances for this happening?

I was hoping to hit the 30k mark for the A&M game but we fell just short. FIU will surely not bring the fans that Troy or A&M. Couple that with an off week for the Blazers, I'm thinking attendance might slide a bit. I hope that the Blazer faithful come out strong for the game so we can hit that 30k mark.
I don't think there is a chance in hell of 30k. Honestly, I really just hope we stay over 20 for this game. There is nothing attractive about this game to a casual fan.
FIU's crowd will come in one car.

That said, I think there's enough positive vibe to get at least 25K.
Yeah. We probably had well over 30k for the a&m game, no matter what the park board says.
That said, the ceiling is probably about 23k for the FIU game, and will probably be a little under 20k.
I would guess around 25 thousand, but don't be disappointed in it.

That would be a great improvement.
Consistency from UAB fans would be great... so anything north of 20K Blazer fans i feel would be ok.
Our attendance trends are the same. As the season goes on, our attendance will drop. We'll only stay above 20K if we are winning. We will not avg. more than 30-40K until we become the Boise of college football. Over 30K for FIU is a little funny. Over 30K for Marshall, who maybe ranked plus a winning UAB, is very possible.
18-22K for FIU sounds reasonable.

You must be crazy. Birmingham is not Boise.

People will come if the product is consistently good. Especially at the prices they are at.

I've had all sorts of people that have never even attended a UAB Football game that have made it a point to make it out to a game this season when they get the chance.

How is that different than Boise?
20K would be an achievement
I think Coach Clark still has the magic so I'll say around 25-28k

I think he meant that if UAB has as much success as Boise, the attendance will be higher (my interpretation could be wrong)
Put it this way. One of our highest attended games in history came in october 2004, when a 4-1 UAB team beat TCU to go to 5-1 in front of about 35k. That was mostly UAB fans, TCU didn't bring all that many. But to get to that nearly 35k we A) were 4-1 with the 1 loss being against FSU; and B) were handing out free tickets at banks and grocery stores leading up to the night of the game (It was a friday night game on ESPN and we wanted a big crowd.)

20k is a win for us at this point, I see no way we get above 23k or so.
Birmingham is a larger metro area than Boise. Their stadium holds maybe 30k.

Just keep winning and we'll put more butts in seats. B'ham likes football, it just doesn't like *bad* football.

20k for FIU sounds reasonable.
IMO, Consistent is 3-4 years. 2 wins is not consistent. New fans is great, for the future. Some of those are one loss away from making other plans. Some of the fans we will count on to get to 30-40K avg. made plans(backup plans) before the season that did not include UAB.(I've been one for about the last five years. The Callaway situation really pissed me off) Why? Because we sucked last year. We sucked the year before that. etc. etc. etc.

Let Clark build and prove himself to the public, then we can dream of 30K avg.

My guess for FIU is just under 25K.
FIU game will be around 18-23k. This game will likely be our lowest attendance game of the year unless we just lose a ton before Marshall/La Tech.

edit: I forgot UNT was homecoming. If we have a really good year I think we will average around 24000 for the year.
My guess is less than 20K.
I also hope we get at least 20k
15k
