We don't get many chances here in Big 12 territory in Oklahoma to support MAC teams in person, but with CMU heading to Lawrence, Kan., for a game against the Jayhawks on Saturday, the wife and I are making the 4-hour trek to support our MAC brethren. Hopefully it will turn out better than the last MAC trip into Big 12 territory with Ball State getting hammered by Oklahoma. That was an ugly one to witness.

This appears to be a winnable game, but after CMU's egg-layer at home against Syracuse, I am not as confident as I was before the Orange beatdown.

Wondering if any other Chips will be there.

My wife and I will be there in the CMU section. I'll likely be the only one wearing a CMU wrestling shirt.

Cool. We'll be looking for you. I also am sending you a PM.
I won't be there and I'm not a Chips fan, but I can tell you that Lawrence is a great college down, and KU is a really pretty campus. My experience suggested that they are friendly fans with respect to visitors, too (I went to the KU vs. K-State rivalry game a few years ago). Enjoy Kansas, and if you have time pop over to Kansas City for great barbecue.
I won't be there because my new sweatshirt with someone else's credit cards logo, Walmart handcuffs, and weed volcano won't be ready.
I give the CHips a fighting chance, Kansas D is not very good. Score early
Seems like KU will be fighting for Weis' job security. Good Luck Chips!

If we play like we did against Purdue -- minus our punter concussing himself making a tackle -- I give us an even chance. KU might be better than Purdue, but they still are not a good team.

Our entire offense was out of synch versus Syracuse. Some of that was their defense, but we also looked like we were a step slower than usual. The OL looked confused, receivers ran bad routes, the backup RBs couldn't get much traction, and our QB quickly got a case of happy feet, although its tough to blame him. The timing of the Rawls news 01-lauramac2 probably had an impact. Time to see if the team can respond and recover.

As a wild card, some forecasts are calling for an 80% chance of rain and some thunderstorms. Could get interesting...
Watch out for Nick Harwell!
