As long as Cam Newton remains healthy, Joe can expect to be #2 at best. The coaches may rotate #2 and #3 to keep both tuned up in case of need.

The point of the article is that Joe will be used on special teams and as the 5th WR if he's activated on game day, but he very well could be deactive, too. What does that have to do with his place in the QB pecking order? Granted, you did not technically derail this thread...it just flew right over your head.
