Well...I've been making the Memphis trip for the last 15 years. This could be the last one for the foreseeable future since the series is not likely to be renewed. Love the trip. Booze, Platinum-Plus, casinos, best ribs on the planet.....oh and basketball. ;-) But seriously, Memphis is a heck of a good time and the folks down there go out of their way to treat us like kings.

Totonto is about the same distance from Cincinnati. Would I be crazy to pose the question to my merry band of idiots that maybe we switch things up and go to the bowl game instead? Memphis sets a pretty high standard to meet. I'd never live it down if we went up there and it was ho-hum.

Right now I'm seriously considering it. Any thoughts from folks who are also addicted to both sports programs? Thanks.
Rath:

I don't know if you are a fan, but go to a Maple Leafs game...greatest sport in person.
GREAT strip clubs in Toronto... 02-13-banana

You got my rapt attention, Gametime.

THE best
At least we have a chance to win in Toronto, at Memphis we'll be lucky if we don't lose by 25.
Let's just say the girls are a little more "liberal" in their approach...

I should have clarified that the game is totally secondary. We use the sporting event as an excuse for our wives. Easier than saying we are making a road trip to sit in casinos, restaraunts, bars and strip clubs till dawn for the whole weekend. They know better - its become a running joke at this point.
There really should be a "both" category. Right now, everyone is all FB, but the BB series has been going for quite a while.

The ayyyyes have it. The Board of (drunk) Directors approved the decision to storm the beaches north of the border rather than south of the Mississippi. Just purchased 8 tickets to the International Bowl.

First time to miss a game in Memphis since G.Dubbya's daddy lived in the White House. Sad day indeed. The end of an era... 03-weeping

Time to start a new one. 02-13-banana
I usually make one road trip a year to watch the bball team, but it's painful enough just watching them at the shoe this year, there's no way I'm traveling somewhere to watch them get slapped. I'd be heading up to Toronto if I were you. Especially after hearing about the gentlemens clubs.
Wow, I might just have to rethink my decision not to go to the bowl game. I hope you guys aren't pulling our legs! I'm telling my wife I'm going to see the Phanton of the Opera.

Does the new one involve a U-Haul? That would be one hell of a trip!!
Wish I could go to. Work already has me busy on those dates, though.

Close enough for government work.....we just reserved a 12 passenger van for the Gentelmen of the Cincinnati Delegation to invade the land of Black Jack Shalack.

Now to find a hotel room situated near our 4 main attractions for that weekend....the game, the bars, the clubs, and the gutter.

What happens in Canada stays in Canada. :shhh:
Watch out for the cameras on the roads...they catch people speeding and you get the ticket in the mail...and didn't even know you were caught.

I used to go up quite often with my son's hockey team and about half the parents got tickets the first time we were aware of this.
Stay at the Bearcat Headquarters Westin Hotel its $149 bowl rate.
