Looks like Memphis found a way to vote for themselves four times. 07-coffee3

USA Today Full Poll
With how UNC is playing, they will eventually remove themselves from the poll. And with the way BYU is playing, they wont be out of the poll for long.
Just the Good 'Ole Boys club taking care of themselves. When an unranked VT soundly beats THE osu in their house and THE osu is still ranked ahead of them I call bullchit. Talk about a slap in da face.

Memphis deserves props! You guys have come a long way and look to potentially challenge for the league crown.

Here at ECU, we always get hated on which is why we were one of the last to get picked for this conference. We have to earn it 2 times while UNC gets it handed to them (luckily they seem to always fumble it away). However, if ECU beats VT this coming weekend and SC beats Georgia, ECU would likely jump all the way into the top 25. Then beating UNC would just be icing on the cake as far as national exposure is concerned.

I was disgusted by that one as well.

Even as a Big Ten fan, yeah, VTech should be ranked just a bit better than OSU.
Coaches poll bias shouldn't surprise anyone, I'm not.
The funny thing about the coaches poll is that many of the coaches on the list don't even do it themselves...they delegate to other coaches on their staffs because they are too busy to fill out and submit on time.

That said...congrats to Memphis. They earned their four votes. It's a sign of respect from at least four coaches (maybe 1 from their own). It's good for us (AAC) to have ARVs since it puts us in the public conscious as a respectable conference.

We shouldn't be jealous of other teams in our conference for receiving votes, but rather supportive.
I don't think the people who vote in the coaches poll actually watch the games.

Incorrect. Memphis could have voted themselves as #22...hence the 4 point score. Nice try though...07-coffee3

Or the SID's (Sports information directors). And politics probably plays a huge role, as they might ask that one of their buddies in the coaching brethren be thrown a bone or just prop up the conference or an opponent played for strength of schedule purposes.
