Ferguson has an edge in Special Teams when he puts up crazy numbers because he handles kickoff duties, FG Duties, and Punts.
Tyler Jones is a dark horse for Offensive MVP. I know it was a scrub opponent, but I loved what I saw out of him last year and expect big things this season. I think he's gonna be the face of the conference when he's a senior like Broadway is this year, and Browning was last year.
I agree about the potential of Tyler Jones, if they didn't take him out at the half he would have been setting NCAA records last Saturday. Even if it was against a bad team his improvement from year 1 to year 2 definitely shows
It sure is easy when there is no pass rush though. He could stand still for 3 to 4 seconds most of the time.

But like they say, sometimes the hardest throws to make are the easy wide open ones, and the fact that he played so efficiently in the first game, even against UAPB, is impressive. Didn't make many bad throws, in fact only one that I can think of, and he ran very effectively. Hopefully he can carve up Navy similarly, but I'm too much of a pessimist to believe that will happen. But it's definitely possible.
Even though UAPB is a bad team. Tyler threw some bullets on target. He looked like the best QB in the conference. We'll have to see how he performs against some pressure.
Does the league do a freshman of the week?
No.

Tyler Jones has made tremendous improvement over last season. He was not telegraphing which receiver would get the pass . Tyler was making throws to the third and fourth receiver. The O line was giving him plenty of time to make his throws.
This West Coast bias most cease. Go Vandals.
Think that is ridiculous for the Sun Belt not to have an official Freshman
of the Week. I started a thread for nominations before doing a poll for that.
Place your nominations.
