Those UA Navy uni's are the best uni's I've ever seen....

Who would be in favor of UA at UC? I like Adidas and they treat us well, but if UA made us a flagship, I'd be for a switch.

Plus, the fan gear would be so much better.

Thoughts?
No. Adidas is perfectly fine.
Those Navy helmets were the worst. Looked they were wearing Bicycle helmets from a distance.
I hate our jerseys. Not the colors, but the shape/fit design. Aweful.
Im in love with everything about our jerseys and im pretty sure the players love them too. No need for a switch
wait until you see the money they offer then lets make a decision. pretty sure we will be ua.

This. In this era of a pitiful TV contract we need every penny we can get.

So why would UA offer so much more when our TV coverage is so poor? Limited TV=limited views of their equipment.

Our TV coverage is actually really good. Both basketball and football have better coverage in the American than they had in the Big East. It is the money in the contract that is underwhelming.
I like the current uniforms. If we do choose UA over Adidas we would not be the top team exposure wise. Notre Dame seems to be the one who will be the one. They signed a deal with UA 10 year deal for $90 million. ND under armour uniforms
We aren't the top team with Adidas, so I'm not sure that really matters. Money is money.

Which teams received the special jerseys for the NCAA basketball tournament again?

Let me put it another way. Right now in our current situation, we probably don't have a ton of leverage to squeeze a top dollar deal out of UA. The only way they got ND was that they were jealous of Michigan because they were contractually promised the top deal by Adidas.

I have no problem with our exposure with Adidas, but at least 4-5 teams received those jerseys. Not trying to be nitpicky, but Michigan is technically the top Adidas team considering their contract.

Actually if you are talking about last year's tourney it was 10 teams. In 2013 we were one of six with new tourney unis.
When is our contract up with Adidas?

UC is still in the top tier of Adidas schools. I am sure Under Armour would offer a similar level as well. My concern with UA is that their retail gear isn't very fan friendly in terms of designs and options. UA college clothing is tied in with HanesBrand, the same people that make Gear for Sports and Champion. In my view those are not the highest quality products on the market. Another issue with UA would variety. They don't have a license with the College Vault so that limits them to just current trademarks. The best products from Adidas come from their Adidas Originals, College Vault, and Heritage Hall lines. I assume 47 Brand and the Original Retro Brand would still be producing vintage gear but if the primary outfitter is UA then get used to a bunch performance gear and generic t-shirts that only have the same three or four logos and designs on them.

At the end of the day UC should go with the school that offers them the best package. If possible I would still try to keep a secondary retail license with Adidas if UC went with UA to offset the weaker products offerings from UA.

Next June.

Seems like it has been a pretty good relationship and gear. Well, with the exception of baseball which Sub brought to light a while ago. Adidas makes crappy baseball gear, no two ways about it.

My guess is UA would have to offer a heck of a lot to get UC to change.
Maybe someone with more insight into these deals can answer the major question that popped up into my head: does UC no longer being in a major conference mean they'll be getting less money in their next contract? If so, would there be a renegotiation clause if UC gained entry into the ACC, Big XII, or whatever before the life of the contract was over?
