Temple looks like the traditional Vandy D and Vandy just looks awful.

I'm not disagreeing here Medic, just saying that from the vantage point of my age, actually what Vandy looked like was the Vandy I remember for most of my life. So in a way we could say what happened was just getting the old Vandy back.
