After a rough financial start to the year, I am finally able to get back to a little bit of charitable giving. I am very blessed to have been able to just make a gift to Youth Villages for one child to attend 6 football games, get a drink and snack, and be a part of Tiger Lane and the fun, excitement and friendship involved with attending our games.

The Liberty Bowl and field must look like an awfully big and grand place to these children. The impression of seeing TOM, playing on Tiger Lane, watching our team run out of the Tiger head with the smoke and fireworks, seeing the band perform and hearing the crowd roar, and having a field trip with friends is something that will stick with them for a lifetime. Hopefully, they will all grow up to be Tiger fans, no matter where life takes them. And prayerfully, their mentoring by Youth Villages will give them the love and nurturing and guidance to have good lives and become great citizens.

You can donate a ticket for $60 by going to the Youth Villages site, locate the state of Tennessee and its programs, and make your payment. It's really easy and quick.

So, Tiger friends, I challenge you ~ let's start a chain of just one Tiger buying a ticket (or more) for one child and see how far we get. WHO WILL BE DONOR NO. 2 in this thread? Please donate and then challenge someone to be No. 3 and then No. 4 and so on. And thank you so much to all the Tigers who have already made a donation! 04-rock
It is a wonderful cause for which I have already contributed.

You may read more about the program at: http://www.youthvillages.org/get-involve...EHori.dpbs
Thanks, Tiger1983! BTW, it's 100% tax deductible.

I always see these children at the games and they are having an absolute blast.

Thank you for letting us know how much fun they have. It's gotta be the best 'donation' around, except it doesn't even feel like a donation.

After I 'donated' twice, one of the administrators emailed me to ask where I'd heard about the program. I told them right here on MT.ORG. 04-rock
Such a great cause, and so easy to help and perhaps make a difference.
Yes, these children are the future.

I should have mentioned you can also make a donation of $10 for one game, or $20 or $30 on upward. I wish someone would make the grand slam and donate $500.
Youth Villages and St. Jude get all my charitable donations and the 6 game package for Youth Villages is my favorite. It is a very special organization to say the least.

+2 - this is our 9th year to pitch in.

Truly a tangible way to help grow the fan base and help some kids have a good time.

Mainly I wanted to bump this back to page 1!
