Per John Martin on Twitter:

"The Memphis basketball schedule will be released tomorrow between 11 am and 1:30 via Memphis’ FB and Twitter. One opponent every 10 mins."

Pretty stupid if true, just release the damn list all at once.
Agreed
I'm ready for the whole dose.
So dumb, but you guys will be checking
I'll wait until 1:30pm and see the entire schedule. Teasing a rabid fan base like Memphis is a terrible idea that will backfire.
Huh? This is so stupid. Just release the whole thing at once.
Meh, I'll check it out when I get off work tomorrow...

Home -
Oklahoma State
Bradley (2006 Sweet 16 rematch)
Steven F Austin (won 30 games last season)

Away -
Gonzaga

Neutral -
Wichita State (ESPN tip-off)
Illinois (LV Classic)
Baylor (LV Classic)

plus we have UConnx2, Cincyx2, SMUx2, Tulsax2, etc.

Plus some cupcakes.
Sounds like a bunch of buy games

I'm thankful we have the money to implement the same scheduling strategy implemented by many other powerful programs.
I encourage all Tiger fans to consider attending games, buying season tickets, and donating to the TSF and special projects as time and means permit. It will help meet the goals we all want to acheive
G1: Tigers v. Christian Brothers
G2: Tigers v. Wichita State in South Dakota
G3: Tigers v. High Point University (who???)
G4: Tigers v. Prairie View A&M (I wish I was joking)
G5: Tigers v. Baylor in Las Vegas
G6: Tigers v. Illinois or Indiana State in Las Vegas
G7: Tigers v. Stephen F. Austin
G8: Tigers v. Bradley Braves
G9: Tigers v. Oklahoma State
By last years RPI numbers so far (347 teams):
Wichita State - 6
Baylor - 28
Stephen F Austin - 47
Oklahoma State - 54
Illinois -63 or Indiana State 73
Highpoint - 187
Bradley - 264
Prairie View -305

Wichita State will still be good this year. Baylor and OKState will fall back some but being in the Big 12 should help their RPI some. So far Bradley and Prairie View are the 2 stinkers.
A lot of these appear to be teams that would have lost playing "Guaranteed Win University" last year.

High Point. Where David Jensen transferred after leaving Memphis, right?

Never mind...just remembered it was Mars Hill.

High Point University is a nice school in High Point, NC in the Piedmont near Greensboro. I think it is affliated with the Methodist or Episcopal church. Tubby Smith played BB there.

Well, that's just about right. For season ticket holders this type of home schedule will not generate much excitement. For the non season ticket holder, these games aren't going to make them want to purchase season tickets. For myself, I will go to all the home games because I love Tiger hoops no matter who they are playing. It is way more fun to see big time schools come to town though.
G10: USC Upstate
G11: Oral Roberts
G12: Western Illinois (listed as our fourth and final new opponent)
