I support my team. I get four tickets no matter the cost.

I received mine and they were crumpled up. Notice going postal service.

I received one parking pass and one tailgate spot

MTSU is selling season tickets for $85.00.

That is all.

I figured their product would be worth more than that. Maybe my view of their program is inflated.

UAB can't sell those seat tickets until the week of the individual game. It's against the law for them to do so.

Yes we know. You've told us many times before.

What Law ?
Damn auto correct. Nice going not notice.
My other school, Ohio U has a sweet OCS, facilities, and program. Their season tickets are much cheaper than UAB, and thats not including the family 4 pack for less than $100 TOTAL.

It is almost like the marketing and ticket sales folks are trying to push loyal fans away rather than generate new ones... SEE GREEN & GOLD ROOM!

The Green and Gold Room needed to be more expensive because the demand was outpacing the supply. Everyone was complaining about how crowded it was.

It looks like I'm wrong about our football ticket prices, though. Maybe we aren't as cheap as I thought compared to other programs. It still doesn't seem that expensive to me, and I don't have a lot of money.

There are other ways to move people out of the G&G room than spiking donation limits. Heck, forget the G&G room donation price, all the other sections increased too. You would think supply & demand would at least influence the prices, and unless my eyes deceive me, I haven't exactly been on a waiting list for any of my season packages or seating priorities. My family of 4 is very close to being forced to be walk-up ticket purchasers, which will likely lead to attending fewer games... oh, and that's with a $0 donation. It doesn't make sense to increase the prices on the few loyal fans that want to attend games, rather than actually attempt to market the athletic department and provide creative ways to get NEW families in a few of the 60% empty Bartow seats or 75% of the LF empty seats. It is obvious that we have non-UAB alum working in the very LAZY marketing and ticket offices. Heck, I see more Troy advertisement in Birmingham than UAB. It's embarrassing.
Go ahead and call me a weak or disloyal fan, but eventually economics come into play. Sure, I'm helping a student athlete go to college, but not when it becomes a financial burden on my family. Its common sense.
They have to do a better job marketing, but I don't think I've heard much about Troy in Birmingham lol

Really, drive up or down I-65! You'll see the Troy billboards in more than 1 location with the big ***** sword in the place of the "T".

Oh, I never pay attention to signs on 65.
IT'S "T" TIME!

It isn't about the $5 difference in tickets (although it adds up with each person).

It is about playing the math. The Marketing Department is (supposedly) calling all summer to try and get people to buy season tickets. Why? Because with a season ticket, you have people on the hook for the cash regardless if they ever even attend a game.

If it makes more financial sense to a family to just walk-up and buy tickets/parking, the pressure to come is lower (you haven't invested up front for tickets) and then UAB loses out on any money where they don't attend.

If there is a bad rain game, attendance will be lower, for sure. But those families that actually purchased season tickets will have already paid for the game regardless if they choose to attend it.

I say all that to say this. If true and loyal Blazer fans like myself and Pavy78 are questioning this...how in the hell does the Marketing/Ticketing Department expect non-diehards to purchase these season ticket packages? Maybe they don't care? In which case they are throwing money out the door and they should just stop existing as a department all together and let some third-party company manage everything.

Bingo! And don't even get me started on the "rewards programs" that are a small incentive to increase exposure to the program. I blew the doors off of the social media program, and am still waiting on my t-shirt that I cashed in the 400k points for. That program was legit because I had so many FB & Twitter friends asking me so much about UAB athletics during that time. Not to mention it increasing my interest in the non-big sports.
