BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- UAB Athletics is set to begin a week-long Blazer Boosters membership drive to create momentum heading into the fall.
Beginning Sunday, Aug. 17 at Fan Day, Blazer fans will have an opportunity to pledge their support to UAB student-athletes during the upcoming 2014-15 academic year. Friends, family, alumni and fans of UAB Athletics can invest in the lives of 350 Blazer student-athletes by Committing to the Green & Gold this upcoming week.
The Commit to the Green & Gold membership drive will conclude on Friday, August 22nd and will lead UAB sports programs through the summer and into a fun and exciting fall sports season. A 2014 Blazer Boosters membership begins at $100 and payment plans are available. Any level of giving is encouraged during this drive in order to show your support.
"More and more people are beginning to realize the importance of investing in the success of our students and athletic programs here at UAB," said Brad Hardekopf, Associate Athletic Director of Development. "This is a big year for UAB Athletics, and our staff believes this drive will be an incredible statement heading into the upcoming seasons. What better way to share in the success of UAB student-athletes than by investing in them."
