The network begins with a 5+ long minute ego stoker of a video package...why am I not surprised?
The first official live sporting event on the SEC Network? UAB Women's Soccer vs Vandy on SEC Network+.
Anybody know the channel on Comcast in Huntington.
Officially ESPN's 8th tv channel
ESPN
ESPN 2
ESPNU
ESPNEWS
LHN
Goalline/Buzzerbeater
SECN

I count 7 (NOTE: ESPN Classic is being turned into an on demand only option in the future and ESPN3 doesn't count)

Edit: if we count Deportes then we have 8.
This SEC Network seems eerily similar to ESPN and ESPN 2? Am I missing something? Cannot wait to see UK football now suck it up for 12 weeks on TV instead of the usual 2 or 3 games aired on ESPN! GO SEC GO WALMART!!!!
I really hope this network fails. Really hate the $EC.
I don't like the SEC but I'll watch the channel on occasion. For better or worse, most CUSA teams are in the SEC footprint and it's to our best advantage to be able to play SEC teams in most sports. If we do, there is a good chance some of those contests will be on the network.

We're certainly not in Pac-12 country, mostly aren't in Big 10 country, and are somewhat in the ACC and Big 12 lands.
I got the SEC network and a damn SEC backup channel(SEC alternate). WTF.
Some of the responses come off as envious.

If we had something similar for CUSA we'd be creaming our pants.

ESPN owns the channel.

If the AAC or CUSA had a channel we wouldn't spend the first 5 minutes stroking our ego....okay maybe not CUSA lord knows what Aresco would do...
I'll watch it just to see something besides Football/Basketball/Baseball all the time.

The opening of the SEC Network has been quite enjoyable for Dawg fans. Check out the 24-hour LaTech vs. SEC marathon they've been airing in Louisiana.

Instead of calling it $EC network they might as call it like it really is CTFN (Crimson Tide Football Network) as I've mostly seen nothing but UAT replay games on the menu from the past few yrs & I'd imagine that they're going to get prime slots during the season w/ others getting those filler spots.

Must be locale because a La Tech fan said something about a 24 hour La tech vs. SEC marathon on it. I'm just seeing live shows.

Edit: nevermind the La Tech fan is 2 posts above, my bust.
That La Tech vs the SEC section is impressive. Interesting that they would attribute enough importance to the history to feature it. I will always cherish those Alabama wins.
I wont watch it unless there is a C-USA team playing on it, or some type of programming involving a C-USA school. We moan and complain about things like autonomy, but we keep feeding the beast. Am I envious ? Of course I am.
