His article on Dantonio leaving was BS and poor timing. Can the friggen team at least enjoy some limelight and bask in the victory for one week???
The latest news out shows Coach D isn't even on MSU short list....
and besides, even if he was doesn't mean he would leave UC at this point...

I posted here saying don't expect Herrera to be around much longer, next day he puts out and article saying how much Abdul likes it here, glad he stayed, bla, bla bla. Few weeks later, he's gone from the team.
Most of the local guys really have no friggin clue. The only writer I read for UC news anymore is C. Trent on his blog or in the Post.

The lack of ability to recognize things for what they really are is awe-inspiring at times.
Consider this Detroit News piece. This is not a piece of original journalism where one of their reporters is saying that Dantonio has emerged as a candidate.
At the top, it says "Roundup," which means it is their section of short news items.
The item itself is a followup on something that appeared in a North Carolina paper the day before about Jimmy Raye becoming a candidate. The Detroit News didn't make a bigger deal out of it because they didn't break the story, and now they have to account for this new development in the search.
The paragraph at the end is just a listing of all the names that have come up in connection with the job. There's nothing new there. In fact, if you want to read something into it, you could say because Dantonio's name is last that he's the least likely in the eyes of that reporter to become involved.
Like Koch's story from Wednesday, there's nothing there that indicates anyone in the know is telling a reporter something has changed in Dantonio's status in this search.
That article does not prove anything....
and all Koch did, with little/no facts was say why Coach D should bolt and why UC Football is unattractive...
the article sucked and I'll be surprised if Coach D goes anywhere for now....
Now, if UC continues to get better and better and attendance still bites, yea, then fine, I can see him saying, "I'm outta here" but we have not gotten to that point yet.

Nope, I was just pointing out that people were WRONG in attacking Koch...Coach D is on their short list.
Would I blame Coach D for leaving? Nope, especially if it was for a Big Ten school.

I am tired of this argument. I can't believe newspaper sales are tracking upward. Lots of people I know have canceled their subscriptions in recent years. The hard-copy newspaper is becoming a dinosaur. And I refuse to believe that by slighting UC in the way the Enquirer obviously does sells a single extra newspaper than if they provided fair and balanced coverage.

Having lived and worked in numerous cities in the U.S. and internationally, the media both T.V. and the Enquirer are just horrible. I would really be embarassed if I were working for one of the stations or the Enquirer. I am embarassed just because this is the best my hometown can muster.....
What was that Mark Twain quote? " If the world comes to an end, I want to be in CIncinnati...it won't get there for at least 10 years" ...any way something like that to paraphase....how suitable for the Cincy media, especially the Enquirer and it's sports coverage.
Bill Koch and the Enquirer as a whole are no bettter than a cra-p tabloid at the checkout counter in your local grocery....
