Where does our champion go... Or does the champion get 1st pick ?

I think it's wherever the conference chooses. I'd imagine HoD is the most likely destination.
Champion gets pick

You sure? I thought it was more like foe hunnid.
MWC is part of the New Orleans Bowl this year. That would be the 6th bowl for them. I wonder who the backup is for them in New Orleans because they may not have enough bowl eligible teams to fill it.
There is a guaranteed access bowl spot for a G5 conference champion.
I'm not ready to concede that spot to the AAC or MWC or even the MAC.
ALL THE BOWLZ!!!
As long as it's not Hawaii or the Bahamas I'll be at whatever bowl game Marshall is at. Haven't missed one since I started as a freshman (2 bowls) and will continue to go as a graduate.

I think all the teams in the G5 should form a conference into 2 divisions..have a championship game...and that champion gets in the playoff. I know that's alot of teams but hey ..

I don't see North Texas getting shipped to Hawaii. LA Tech would have to have one hell of a year to get the Independence Bowl ahead of North Texas or Rice. Also, UTSA would have to win C-USA West in order to get the HOD. If Rice or UNT finishes ahead of them, they will take that bowl.
WKU should also be eligable for a bowl this year.

Looks more like 6-6 to me.

Agreed, but I see it a little differently. Loses to Illinois, and MT, and probably a win against LA Tech.
Here are two sources:

First:

Quote:Conference USA

Highest ranked team from AAC, C-USA, MAC, MW & Sun Belt will play in a top-tier bowl
No set order. Champion will choose which bowl it wants to attend

Gildan New Mexico Bowl vs. Mountain West
Boca Raton Bowl vs. MAC
Bahamas Bowl vs. MAC
Sheraton Hawaii Bowl vs. Mountain West
Heart of Dallas Bowl vs. Big Ten
Duck Commander Independence Bowl vs. ACC or SEC (if the ACC or SEC can't provide a team)

This source also notes that CUSA is the secondary choice for the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.

Second Source: http://bowlbound.wordpress.com/2014/06/2...e-tie-ins/

Quote:Conference USA
Gildan New Mexico Bowl (Mountain West)
Boca Raton Bowl (MAC)
Bahamas Bowl (MAC)
Sheraton Hawaii Bowl (Mountain West)
Heart of Dallas Bowl (BiG 10)
Duck Commander Independence Bowl ** (A C-USA team will fill if the ACC or SEC does not fill its slot)
First thought: The Conference USA Champion selects which game it wishes to appear in, so I’m thinking the Hawaii or Bahamas Bowl!

And I remember reading something a while back that said that if the CUSA champion happens to be the Go5 champion, the runner up goes to the 'CUSA champion' bowl.

edit: It also seems to be that CUSA is the only Go5 conference that is going to let its champion *choose* which bowl it will play in. Interesting?

I see a very possible 0-4 start....
