Quote:Upset alert: Connecticut over Cincinnati. The Bearcats are winless on the road this year. Plus, look at the track record of big wins in the Big East: Louisville beat West Virginia at home before losing at Rutgers. Rutgers beat Louisville at home before losing at Cincinnati.

Most to gain: Cincinnati. The Bearcats already gained a good amount of notoriety for knocking off undefeated Rutgers last week, but the Bearcats still have a good chance to finish in fourth place in the conference. For that to happen, UC needs to earn its first road win of the season at Connecticut.

We lost on the road to OSU, VaTech, Ville and WVU. We match up well with UConn.
I'm not worries about this, UC has been pretty consistent this year. They have come to play tough every game. I just don't see UC losing.
I think UC is ready to take the next step. I have been cautious before every game.

I think UConn will give UC a good game, but the Bearcats will win this one.
As in every other game (WVU being an exception) the defense has always been there. I expect it to be there versus UCONN. It boils down to how will the offense perform? I believe that depends on the QB and I don't mean platooning of the QBs. The QB who is mobile and can get the ball downfield is the QB of choice, so that only means Davila.
With all of UConn's injuries, I would expect that the Bearcats will prevail.
Davila starts.

UC -24
UConn -10
Defense gets another shutout.

It makes for a niffty "what comes next" to decide we will lose based on the pattern of the last 3 weeks, but that brilliant method does nothing to take actual facts into the prediction.

Like has been said, look who our road losses were to. Look at all of UConn's injuries. Look at what our defense has done consistently (WV even scored in the 30's against Louisville in the loss.) I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I hope this guy isn't betting his kids' college fund based on a coincidental pattern.
We should win...I hope we don't have a let down..

Plus, UCONN owes us one...we beat them last year and it was a very costly loss and hurt their bowl bid...they are in a position to do the same to us and that scares me....

Go Cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, I don't like the idea of the question of who the starting QB will be...

All in all, we should win this one 21-10
if Coach Dantonio makes the assinine decision to play Grutza over Davila, then our winless streak on the road continues. This team is a lot better with a quarterback that can throw down field and has a quick release. There's a good reason why Davila did not get sacked by the best defense in the ncaa and why Grutza gets nailed several times a game. If Coach D. starts Grutza then I will continue thinking that the Grutza family is being owed a favor by him. START DAVILA......We at least want a better chance for a victory. 6-6 DOES not guarantee a bowl bid.
Personally, I'd like to see Davila get the nod because I think he showed something Sat. BUT, it's entirely possible that he was touched by the Bart Starr jeanie, and could come out this week and revert to being awful. How quick is the hook if that were to happen?
