Unifying Principles:
The redesigned Division I governance structure is based on several unifying principles:
1. Continued revenue distributions as they currently exist.
2. Ensuring the needs of all conferences are addressed regarding championships access.
3. Continuing to provide the overall benefits of a Division I brand; with its broad and diverse membership, Division I is an ecosystem, and there is a strong and shared desire to keep that system whole and fully functional.

It's still going to take a 1-2 years before they figure out exactly what is the right reform package .

The lawsuits I see as the number #1 driver but also realignment has reconfigured the landscape into a 5 power conference system.

The days of the MWC and CUSA being treated as tweener conferences are long over.

If the original $2,000 stipend was approve a couple years ago, it wouldn't have come this or at least it would have been delayed for a while.
So now the other 20 conferences who are FCS or non football are even more disadvantage...so to speak.
