Get well soon. I'm sure he'll be disappointed if he can't play, but his health is more important.

Not to downplay the battle he has to regain his health, but did he take a redshirt year already? Thought he played as a true freshman, but not sure. If he can't play this year, will he have eligibility left?

I think he's still entitled to a medical red-shirt.

Man, we got through the whole summer with no insanity, then this. That is some pretty serious illness. Hoping the best for him. He will be missed for sure, but if he takes a waiver we'll have him next year.

good player, will be a tough loss, but give him time to get his strength back
meningitis affects the brain and spinal cord and is life threatening in some cases. it doesn't make you want to play football. norrils' body will need to get its will to hit people back before he can think about playing.

I heard a tv sportscaster say that he will qualify for a "medical" redshirt. He played as a true freshman so he automatically qualifies for a redshirt year. He does not need permission from the NCAA.

Wow...that's scary stuff. Obviously, his health is the number one concern at this point. It's good news that he's out of the hospital and back on campus attending practice and meetings. He can help coach up the younger guys while he recovers. We'll definitely miss him in the defensive backfield...hope some others are ready to step up.
