The son and daughter-in-law of Cincinnati Reds owner Bob Castellini were arrested Sunday.

Robert S. Castellini, 46, and his wife, Deanna, were charged with domestic violence for getting into a fight with each other in front of their children.

Both cases were in court Monday. Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Melissa Powers released each on their signatures.

He is a financial manager.

His case is back in court Aug. 18 before Judge Bernie Bouchard. Hers is in court Aug. 21 before Judge Cheryl Grant.

The domestic violence charge is a first-degree misdemeanor, Ohio's highest, and carries a maximum sentence of six months at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Alex Triantafilou, Robert S. Castellini's lawyer, refused comment. Candace Crouse, Deanna Castellini's lawyer, didn't immediately return a phone message.

Triantafilou, chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party and a former judge, works for the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl. The firm's managing partner is George Vincent, a part-owner of the Reds. Triantafilou also has represented Reds Mike Leake, Johnny Cueto and Brandon Phillips in the past.

Court documents note there were "visible scratch marks around the neck of Ms. Castellini."

Court documents also note Deanna Castellini caused physical harm to her husband who had "visible scratches around his neck and shoulder."

Both also requested and were granted temporary restraining orders against the other.

likely the judge noticed that the defendant's reputation is significantly
larger than the "1" that's posted on yours.

Castillini is not a flight risk. They know where to find him if he doesn't show up for his court hearing.
It pays to have a good legal team. Also it pays to be a big provider of content to the local newspaper.

Wow that is interesting.
Laws rarely apply to the wealthy and powerful.

Like it never even happened. Enquirer is a joke if they pulled that story.

As for no bond....in Dv cases there is no bond until they see a judge. Here it appears they were released on own recognizance at their initial appearance.

If you truly think that, this should give you some incentive to make enough that you would qualify.

How could you not think that?

Not only that, but there are a lot of institutions created to actually attack the poor/minorities (war on drugs, private prisons, etc...)

Yeah - it was pulled. I called and asked why the story was pulled and got hung up on. Only in Cincinnati. You gotta love this city and its "newspaper". <---- not for lack of many better words. Did anyone see this on any of our local " news" stations? Surely I just happened to miss it.
