Is Rosel Hurley going JC, Prep School, or greyshirting @ KSU this year?

Prep

Thanks Danny. I know that was the original plan, but then Senderoff said he was working with the Hurley family for what is best for Rosel, so wasn't sure if anything had changed?
Not unusual to see that man offers....sort of like taking a shotgun approach and waiting to see what/who sticks. Lots of guards in that list of offers. And man, the coaches have been busy. This is the part of coaching we don't see and mostly speculate about.
joepa66, you are 100% correct. Mid-majors like KSU throw out offers left and right. They have to if they are going to get anyone. Show interest early and often and hope a few of the ones you actually want will stick. I can tell you half the time we throw out an offer this early it's likely only one or two of the staff members have even seen the kid play. It is just how the game is played at our level.
We need to land a lot of new recruits in the next couple years. There's only 4 players on the roster who have more than 2 years eligibility left. With Sendy's big class 2 years ago that will be juniors this year, and all the transfers, they will need to sign a lot of players for this year and next. We lose 5 players after this season
Sounds like a good get. So if there's no decommitments I believe this rounds out the 2015 class. Brewer, Manley, Jackson, and Brown out (all guards) and Edwin, Hurley, Andrews, and Walker (all guards) in. It'll be interesting to see if everyone signs when the fall period opens. This is the most recruits I can remember us having committed this early.
Looks like he picked up an offer from OU in August. Haven't really been following the rest of the MAC so I don't know if we beat them or if they got someone else but ESPN doesn't have any other PGs listed for their 2015 class. Sounds like a good get. Walker and Andrews sound more like scorers so a PG that can pass could make for a nice 4 year back court.

I'll be interested to see who's out. This puts us at 5 recruits (all guards) with 4 scholarships available.
I read his offers were from Ohio and Miami.

So with Walker and Avery, will we be seeing the Jaylin and Jalen backcourt?
after narrowing his options down to Ohio and Kent St Avery was going to announce his choice on 10/2 but looks like he decided not to wait. Avery was in Athens the weekend of the 20th and Coach Phillips was in his house for a visit on 9/24 so congrats on locking that one up after what appears to be aw strong push from Phillips. Ohio had a freshman PG transfer from Houston this summer and after sitting out this year will have 3 years of eligibility left, don't know if that was a factor or not for Ohio.

Some of you may remember the last time Ohio and Kent were in the running for the same PG recruit. He was considering both schools but then Randall Holt committed to Kent so he ended up committing to Ohio a few days later. Skinny kid out of Chicago named Cooper, name might ring a bell. Recruiting is funny like that, you win some, you lose some. Congrats on the commit, looks like he'll be a good one.

Anti-zip,

You are spot on, Hurley @ Prep School, and then Andrews, Walker, & Avery in High School and Edwin finishing up his requirements @ JC then on campus in January 2015.

Here are the commitments list for the entire MAC Conference as of 10/05/14:

On a side note, looks like Akron will be without their big man in the middle for a while:
