Curious, and I know y'all will know. Who (as of now) do we know will come to play UAB at Bartow this year?

LSU, Illinois state, and USF(I think)
We get one home game in the Battle 4 Atlantis, rumored to be either Coastal Carolina or Louisiana-Monroe.
Known:

Home:
vs. LSU
vs South Florida
vs. Illinois State
vs. TBD (home game for Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament)
rumor of Coastal Carolina or UL - Monroe
Away:
@ UNC
@ UT- Chattanooga 12/22
@ Battle 4 Atlantis
Wonder how many non D1 teams we play this year. I'd like to continue to blast other teams for doing that without feeling like a hypocrite.
Illinois State is 12/07

@ UT-Chattanooga is 12/22

I bet we hear the LSU date very soon.

I HATE playing non D1 teams
I think we all do. We can't afford to have them on our schedule if we ever want to compete for an at large again.
I'd like to see us play Montevallo for an exhibition game.

A few years ago, the NCAA changed the scheduling rules, allowing one non-D-I opponent to count in a team's official W/L record each season. The change was a bone thrown at smaller schools in an attempt to stem the tide of teams moving into Division I.

However the RPI formula did not change and wins vs. D-II, D-III or NAIA opponents are not factored into the RPI calculations. A loss to one is treated the same as a loss to the lowest rated D-I teams.

That being said, in most instances it is still better to not play at all, than play a lower division team during the regular season.
Possible home opponent - UNC-Ashville. I am hearing that name. Nothing confirmed.
I'm aware of all that Jay. With a school like duke or unc or Memphis, that doesn't really matter, they'll get their chances. With a school like UAB, that extra game could be a game changer. We need a strong ooc schedule, and although non d-1 games don't hurt us, the definitely do not help. In our case, it can hurt.(unlike the schools with great rpis and schedules, where one non d1 game won't do anything). I get how it all works, I just feel like it hurts us to do that.
Wonder if Memphis is completely out for years to come. I know Mackin had worked on continuing the game, but I guess nothing came of that. Shame.
