Mike Reilly Honored as CAA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
The three "newbies" and URI are picked 9 - 12, just behind JMU ... that has got to really sting Dukes fans ... JMU picked to finish behind all of the traditional long-standing successful CAA football schools.
I like where we are projected to finish. I think we could definitely end up better than Richmond and Villanova. And of course we'll beat New Hampshire

Speaking for myself, it's never hurt my feelings where JMU's picked in any preseason poll, ever. I'm sure some players will use it as motivation. Still seems like a net positive from where I'm sitting.
I think it says a lot about the uncertainty under center for us when we have the preseason DPOY and have the most all-conference selections but are only picked to finish 4th.

Great point, especially with one of our all-conference players being on the line and another as maybe the best receiver in the conference.

That final game vs. UR could have a lot on the line.
Night game on national TV...could be a great atmosphere.
