June suffers from Hawaiian Heat Stroke
Haha. And complications from the run and shoot. I will say this. If the G5 think about going to an only Tue-Thurs schedule to try to draw attention to games in the fall, I'd much rather play Saturdays in the spring.

How about None of the Above. Start by not trying to be Alabama or Texas A&M. You're not getting 100k in a stadium. Worry about getting 25k to 40k and giving them a great experience...on Saturdays...in the Fall...
Someone remind him how the USFL ended up.

I think I'll have a beer.
Actually the USFL was doing great until Donald Trump came along

Oh I agree. I just don't want to see midweek games.

Great 30 for 30 about that.

When he got the idea of competing head to head with NFL, and suing and trying to move to the Fall it all went south.

An occasional Thursday game is fine but not moving a majority of your schedule there.

Also, you couldn't play money games then and like it or not I know a lot of us, especially ULM, depend on money games. We also relish the opportunity to play giant killer and elevate your program through wins over P-5 conference teams.
I don't like his idea for going about it but I like the idea of a form of separation. As it stands the harder G5 teams try to 'catch up' the faster the P5 get ahead. The G5 needs to be an alternative because it is not a competitor.
No, just say No.

One of the dumbest ideas ever.

Wisdom here. I get the appeal of having a few games here and there on Tues/Wed/Thu, but anything over two per team is silly.
I wouldn't mind one Thursday or Friday game a year, but anymore makes it difficult to make home games. It's great for away games to watch on TV though. We got 2 (surprisingly) this year and I've somehow managed to work my schedule to accommodate those games, but it is really hard. Also, too many mid-week TV games hurts season ticket sales. If you have 6 home games and 3 of them are Tues/Thursday night on TV then why get season tickets if you can't make a mid-week game and would prefer to watch it at home (or bar) on TV anyway.
Last time I saw June Jones he was getting Colt Brennan to show him on the doll where UGA's defense touched him

UGA's D ate the damn doll.
If a media deal was struck to offset the losses in terms of "bodybag" games, I'd be all for it.

If that happened, we (the G5) would be getting as much media attention in the spring that the P5 is getting in the fall.

If that happened, it would only be a matter of time before the masses clamored for a "champion vs. champion" situation, and the two leagues would merge. That's pretty much what the USFL was working towards anyway. It was just The Donald who hosed that up.

Having said all that... It's an awful lot of "If's" to happen to make it a good idea.
He is suffering from Post Hawaii Stress Syndrome.
Are we sure that June Jones did not suffer just one to many concussions during his playing days.
