Neil Armstrong walked on the moon July 20, 1969, which will be 45 years ago this coming Sunday. For those of us old enough to remember watching it on TV, where were you when it happened?

Officers club, NAS Cubi Point, Philippines.
I was bald, drooling and incontinent. I was also 6 weeks old.
In a classroom at Smith Road Elementary School in Columbus Ohio.

For a second I thought you were describing me. 03-weeping

I was only 2+ years old so unfortunately don't remember that.

If you were still incontinent at 2 years old, you were behind in your development. 03-lmfao
9 years old, sitting in our living room 2 feet in front of the tv screen
Wilmington NC....My parents took me over to one of their friends house to watch it on one of the first color TVs. Remember it because of that.

I can still remember the strange feeling it was to look up at the moon and know there were people looking back at you
45 years ago today.

Good luck, Mr Gorsky.

Urban legend.

They said, though, that thereafter, Armstrong would tell unfunny jokes about the moon and follow it with, "I guess you had to be there." 04-bow

Classic.

As an aside, I also like the story of Alan Shepard who swung two one-armed golf shots when he walked on the moon. He referred to trying a "sand trap shot" and the second ball flew "for miles and miles and miles." This video is a bit grainy but still pretty cool documenting Alan's swings...

Buzz Aldrin deals with a conspiracy theorist at the 1:35 mark.
