Dan Carlin has put out a 3 segment podcast entitled "Countdown to Armageddon". It is the most comprehensive look into this crazy war I have ever heard. If you have the time (about 10 hours total) it is well worth the listen. Carlin does an outstanding job of making the war come alive using battlefield accounts and historical perspective. He brings out lots of things that we all never learned in school about this horrible war.

I came away with a whole new perspective of the events beginning in 1914.
