Less than 2000 people per game for CUSA in all those great markets? Who would have ever guessed that would happen?
I think I'll have a beer.

Huh??
C-USA ~20,000; SunBelt ~18,000
Don't know the accuracy since the OP used 2014 conference make-up for the averages. For instance, if he didn't include App State's numbers in our totals, it probably hurt our average.
SBC is actually @ 1,500 behind Cusa.
Just App State getting back to our average over the last few years
should help a lot.
That is if they even counted us.
Even if the counted 2014 membership numbers, does that mean Georgia Southern holding a 15K max capacity last year hurt us?

If my calcs are correct, looking at just the 8 schools with football teams in the SunBelt as of the 2013 season, the average was 19,342 fans per game for a total of 45 home games.
We're losing WKU which averaged 18,334 and gaining App State (24,894) and GaSouthern (14,828) which results in a net gain by a bit.
BTW, why does GaSouthern's attendance suck donkey balls?

Everyone below the average hurt us.

Well, they'll have 23 or 24K capacity from now on, so that average will come up quite a bit.
I expect we should average 20K as a league this year...without really knowing what NMSU and Idaho draw however.

Construction in the stadium limited capacity, plus it was a full-on work zone, plus it was a season that didn't mean anything (which also contributed to the disappointing 7-4 record).
We'll be over 20k this year, don't worry.

Looking at the above website, here's another interesting stat:
C-USA average attendance 21,510. Change in average of -4,128.
I suspect that represents the loss of programs like UCF and Houston. Toss in the loss this year of ECU (who averaged almost 44,000) and C-USA will likely take another bit hit next year.

Still better than FAU or FIU.

Yeah, but they've got market.
Yep they've got it. Having been to those schools 2 or 3 times I can assure you the actual number was around 7000

Just like GaState claiming 10-15 when its closer to 3-5k. Southern's 15k was closer to accurate, and like other said, we should be back to or above our ~20k average now that everything is finished.
And you are making me thirsty. When I get home, I'll have a Bourbon.

He's actually convinced me to have a beer or two tonight, and I don't drink.

Knob Creek, Jeffersons, or Woodford Reserve should cure your thirst.
