But if they do that, and require a player to stay in school two years, then they should be required to guarantee a young man a two year scholarship instead of year to year. That way, you'd have to keep a young man on as long as he made his grades and didn't get in trouble with the law. There would have to be other considerations also, but that would be a start.04-cheers

The compromise will be that players can go directly to the NBA from high school, which is as it should be (if they are physically/emotionally ready). If they go to college they have to stay 2 years. However, I don't see how that stands a legal challlenge if someone takes the NCAA and NBA to court. How can they possibly justify it, if they are saying that kids out of high school are emotionally/physically ready for the NBA. I guess no baseball players have challenged the 3 and done rule up to now.
