UNOFFICIAL VISITS
It is my observation that the paid for "official visit" occurs very late in the recruiting season, when the recruit is known to be committed to that particular school 100%.

Tons of official visits are taken by non-committed recruits.

Yeah I remember a kid a year or two ago who committed on every official visit he took.
