I've enjoyed our time together but as the saying goes all good things come to an end. I hope all 3 schools find what they are looking for in their new conference and hope nothing but the best for your schools. Losing schools isnt fun and no matter the opinions of how it may or may not work out in the long run we all want the best for our schools so I don't fault these schools for moving to a new conference as Marshall has done it multiple times in the past.

Farewell... Pirates, Green Wave and Golden Hurricane!

PS... don't let the doorknob hit you on the way out!

Thanks a bunch..
Good luck to you too
I'll remember each of these three schools via different sports.

Marshall-ECU in football was just crazy fun. Marshall cost ECU a division title in 2007. In 2011-12, we traded crazy thrilling games with bowl implications. And there's always the historic GMAC Bowl game in 2001. It's a ways down the road, but glad we get to line up on the football field again.

I will remember Tulsa for their games against Marshall basketball. Most memerable was the CUSA tournament triple overtime time in 2012 that was Deandre Kane's breakout party nationally. Also remember the respect shown by Tulsa as we kicked off exactly 40 years to the minute of Marshall's first road game on. Nov. 14 since the plane crash.

Tulane-Marshall had become one of the more heated baseball rivalries in the league league the past 5 years. I do think that of all the schools in C-USA 2.0, Tulane was probably the school Marshall got to know the least and created the fewest memories with. I believe we were the first conference "home" game for them after Katrina (moved to Mobile, Alabama). I hope you guys do have success with your new stadium and the energy that should come with that.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure we'll be playing some of y'all in the future (Marshall is a definite and I'm sure that we'll see USM in the mix as well, along with Middle Tennessee, Charlotte and ODU) and until that time comes I'll be rooting for each of our former mates.

Good luck going forward!

On a side note, I still plan on posting on "The Walking Dead" threads. LOL
Does that include the prior 4 schools? :D
i'd like to take this moment to especially thank tulsa university.

thanks to all but especially them.
That's a cool graphic. Good job!
I've said this before on different threads, but it bears repeating: C-USA has been a good home for Tulane athletics these past 19+ years, and I will always wish good things for the league and the universities that compete in it.

MU-ATO and others, thanks for the well-wishes. Same here, and we'll catch up somewhere down the road.
A lot has happened since ECU joined CUSA in 1997 including the evolution of message boards and this one that was started as Killer Frogs. I will always have a lot of great memories from the CUSA Era at ECU. It will be beyond bizarre this Fall to not play Southern Miss in Football for the first time since 1982. I became a big Southern Miss fan over the years growing up with the ECU vs Southern Miss series.

I wish CUSA nothing but the best and will definitely pull for CUSA teams against p5 schools in the OOC games.

All things change and the departure of these three highly respected schools is definitely one of those landmark changes that will be felt by all. I have nothing but respect for all three schools and wish them well. But for the Pirates..."I'll miss you most of all, scarecrow?"
Thanks CUSA. It has been a great time. I wish everyone much success in the future. I hope Southern Miss. can find a way into the AAC. I will miss that game a bunch.

I love to "hate" schools for the pure fun of sports rivalries but at the end of the day Id probably enjoy having a beer with my fellow message board family members than your avg person. We are all "fanatics" of our schools and that's what makes us awesome.
