Not a bad little write-up, he said there was nothing much of interest in the GS vs. GA Tech game, I would think the fact that their perennially hot-seated coach getting his coaching start at our school might have been worth a mention--granted it would have meant more if PJ protege Monken was still our coach.
Mr. Harper, I'll have fries and a Pepsi with my order. And quit looking at my wife's cleavage.

Nothing compelling or really informative in the writing.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe they will make him shave before he works the drive-thru again.

If you don't want it looked at, cover it up!
"Top 10 Most Fascinating Out-of-Conference Sun Belt Games of 2014"

8. GS vs GT - "On the surface, there’s nothing really fascinating about this game. And neither is there anything fascinating deep inside."

5. ULL vs Boise St. - "I’m not sure if any of this makes Cajuns vs. Broncos fascinating, but a loss by either program is a win."

2. ULM vs LSU - "Is ULM/LSU a heated in-state rivalry? Eh."

It's like he BS'd his way through the whole article just so he could talk about #1 A-State vs Tennessee. I understand it was written by a stAte fan, but geez. I'm kind of upset I gave him web traffic.
Have to admit that number six is going to be pretty doggone fascinating.

You do realize it's a Arkansas sports blog....right? Sporting Life Arkansas should have been the clue.

Oh I'm sorry, you must not have read the second sentence in my comment. "I understand it was written by a stAte fan," should have been the clue.
There is nothing "fascinating" about any of those games. He just picked our OOC BCS games and listed one of them. Nothing to see here... move along...
The only thing that will be mildly interesting about the ULM vs. LSU game is whether the Tigers have their act together by then. They have the talent but so much of it hasn't spent much time on a college football field yet. Our defense might be able to match up well to their inexperienced offense but I'm not that confident the other way around.

To me, the most interesting OOC game for the Sun Belt will be the ULL vs. Boise State matchup. If it's on the tube I'm watching it. Should be good.

TXST vs. Illinois should be a good one that was left off the list.
It's opinion, clearly. But it's uninformed and not particularly well expressed opinion. Definitely not the second coming of Lewis Grizzard or Jim Murray or Furman Bisher here.

I don't know if I'd call that a "fascinating" matchup, though.

I'd sooner say Navy, just because it should be a solid crowd (with military weekend happening), it's early in the season, and will be a test on our run defense, which ranked MUCH better than it was (and it wasn't ranked that high to begin with).
Doesn't matter. You guys are going to be talking about our huge win later
on this football season. You know we open with Michigan. Yep, going to
be something to talk about again and again. Just hope we don't mess it up,
after all Campbell could be tough.

Quote:4. New Mexico St. vs. New Mexico, September 20th. With all due respect to Cal Polytech, nothing beats a heated in-state rivalry, and New Mexico versus New Mexico State definitely qualifies. It doesn’t matter that the Aggies are pretty sorry. The two schools have battled one another since 1931, even though the rivalry likely prevented fans of one program to be fans of the other.

This guy did little research. NMSU and UNM have been playing against each other in FB since 1894. I realize this is a Wikipedia link, but the exact same info provide here is in the media guides every year.
