at UAB December 7
another Sunday home game...
Haase must like looking for reasons not to go to church
It's better than a swac team on a Saturday. I'm definitely not going to complain about the day of the week of a home game against a decent opponent.

Afternoon or (I hope)evening...
I see FDR was incorrect about December 7th, 1941 being "a date that will live in infamy". How about playing the game at 7:00am Hawai'i time?

Forgive him. Pearl Harbor is a sensitive subject with him because he remembers it so vividly.

He was 40 when it happened.

American History is my "sensitive subject" and remembering those for whom it was their last day. It is on Sunday this year as well. Is 9/11 next?

If we stopped playing basketball on days that somebody died (or even just soldiers)...we wouldn't be able to play basketball.

Those soldiers died so I could watch UAB Basketball. I take my freedom seriously.
Has he found a way to connect Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and education funding to a grand conspiracy theory yet?

You mean such as 9/11/10; SMU 28, UAB 7? Of course that was football...
It's a pretty safe bet the basketball team will never play on 9/11.
OK -- I apologize for overstating my reaction. Mea culpa.
Looking forward to assistant coach Torrey Ward being back at Bartow Arena. I hope UAB does some kind of pregame recognition of him. He was a great player and it would be great if they did some kind of video highlight reel of his time as a Blazer.
