The mighty SEC didn't fare so well. Only 2 of 10 advanced, and that's with 5 being host home teams.

Houston beat LSU in the final game of the regional to advance as well.

One interesting thing about this tourney is that all the upsets seemed to happen in the same half of the bracket. So we now are assured already that a non national seed will be one of the two teams playing for the national title...and the title series is three weeks away still.
