Brian Noland ‏@ETSUPrez

Enjoyed meetings today with our colleagues in the @SoConSports . It is great to be back home with old friends and rivals.

I am not sure whether that is good or bad news for us.
I can pretty much guarantee that we voted for that increase. We have the money to exit - if we really want to - even if it's $1 million. We got awfully lucky the ASun exit fee was soooo cheap.
Y'all want out of SoCon already ?
Hell no. We are good but everyone is thinking several years down the road - as if the exit fee is going to stay @ $200k or whatever it is.

Bottom line is - etsu fan base should be happy. Is it? Of course not.
I know the ASUN tried to pass an exit free increase and it got voted down. Everyone wants out. 03-lmfao

By fan base, I feel you mean people on this board. As a whole, yes they are happy.

Also, does anyone know what this stadium location tweet was about?

I agree that the older ETSU fans are pretty happy about the athletic situation. These older fans far outnumber the younger fans or even the number of students who care about athletics. I imagine that these younger fans think of the SoCon in about the same light as the Atlantic Sun. Its not the SEC.

If that tweet is accurate, that is exciting. We need some news regarding the stadium location.

Don't understand why that tweet is exciting?
If we have indeed decided on a location for the stadium, and make that announcement with a design , that helps with the momentum that ETSU must keep up during this process. It has taken too long to decide this, and shows that ETSU might not be playing in a high school stadium indefinitely.
After the Austin Peay disaster, they can take all the time they need.
