Quote:In each case, liberals silenced a voice -- and denied an honorary degree -- to individuals they deemed politically objectionable. This is an outrage," Bloomberg said to applause.

An even more glaring example of failing to listen to the opposing side, Bloomberg said, was the longstanding impasse between Republicans and Democrats in Washington, where every major question facing the nation is decided "not by engaging with one another but by trying to shout each other down."
I'd say someone missed the point, entirely.

Quote:"It's basically racial profiling," junior Keyanna Wigglesworth said of the New York policing policy under Bloomberg. "And so it's unsettling to me, (for) someone to speak who advocates a racist policy when you want students of color on campus to feel comfortable. It's confusing and I don't think its what Harvard stands for."
It's not just universities, America is becoming a bastion of intolerance--even more than it once was. How many people do we think actually tolerate other opinions?
Well said by the man who's intolerant of the option to consume large quantities of soda from one container.
This is what you get when you empower Marxists.

I'm glad people are finally starting to figure it out. Too little, too late.
As a member of the committee which selects graduation speakers for our university, I generally object to political figures unless that person is a current representative of our university's location. So the current US Congressperson for our district is welcome. The two current US senators that represent our state are welcome. The current governor and lt. governor are welcome. The current President, Vice-President, or any cabinet member is welcome. Other politicians are welcome on our campus to take part in the numerous speakers series, but not as graduation speakers.

You sound like a far left communist.
