Would someone be willing to give me an idea for the expectations for basketball next year? Maybe a little breakdown of your recruiting class and returnees as well? Thanks in advance!

We expect an awesome level of awesomeness.

It would be futile for me to search for an adjective worthy of describing our incoming recruiting class - lets just say the obvious comparison will be of a group of future stars reminiscent of Houston's famed "Phi Slamma Jamma".

You?
Eastside, I can't wait to see that five guard offense Mick has been talking about. I heard all five guys can drain the three so we don't have to hit the boards real hard.
Just reserve a seat for the 3rd NCAA Champ Banner hanging. I read they are that good.
Reality?
A second straight AAC regular season title is within reach and probably should be "expected."
--->Winning the AAC Conference Tournament would be GREAT.
----->Getting to the "SWEET 16" would be AWESOME. (Certainly getting past the 1st round would be nice...)
------->Making it into the FINAL FOUR would be AMAZING.
--------->Winning it all? Priceless.

I, frankly, at this point with this team, especially the young'uns, would be really happy for a SWEET 16 appearance. Everything beyond that is pure sugar. Anything less, would be disappointing.
I hear that the next Olympic Team USA will be comprised of nothing but Bearcats.
man you guys are d!cks. it would be unrealistic to duplicate the overachievement of last years squad as the new epoch of basketball, the quote unquote paradigm shift, won't take place until the season after the one that follows this season. slowly are we ridding the conference of teams that were holding us down so that we may once again dominate. i'm looking at you east carolina, tulsa whatever your name is

Wow man! You must know something I don't.

I think SMU is going to really freakin good. I mean like top 10 or top 15 good. UCONN is going to lose a lot but they also have a lot of young talent and are going to be reloading.

I think we are going to go through SERIOUS growing pains incorporating all these new guys and finding a new chemistry. I do think the new guys coming are going to be very good, in time, and that the future is bright.

But I am just hoping we don't stumble too much in the first half of the season while our new guys are getting acclimatated and we are putting things together - IMO this is going to be a team where the first half year looks very different than the second half of the year.

X2
I am going to guess that the UC bball team will go 22-9. Struggle early and perhaps have some bad losses but turns things up in time for conference play and peaks in March after playing with eachother for several months. We go into the tournament as the 11 seed no one wants to play and make a run to the sweet 16.
I think at this stage our expectations simply has to be "make the tournament". Certainly higher too but I'm not that high on next year's team. I hope to be proven wrong.

Early part of schedule could be rough! Especially since we have some tough OOC games. But I think our rotations will settle down, our new guys will gain experience and well finish in top 3-4 of AAC. SMU is going to be very very good. and Uconn will be good.

NExt year my expectations arent too high but there's talent there. I just question the lack of a true go-to scorer. Sean carried us to so many wins. BUT...does having a handful of scorers make us better? maybe?
I 3 E_J. So many new and inexperienced players on the roster.

And what thebearcat said about a lack of a go-to scorer. Of course, I'm hoping The Summit C D's roster contribution can be that guy.
lots of depth, talent, and scoring + young, untested, uncertain chemistry/roles = road bumps early, ncaa team by time march rolls around
This season will be about guys growing into their roles and everyone finding a place. The 15-16 season is the one I am really looking forward to. I think that has the potential to be a very special year, especially since the only guys graduating this year are Sanders and Guyn.
Non conference schedule announced with dates ....

10-3 non conference, 12-6 conference...22-9 record hopefully peaking at the right time.

You?

LOL, I just saw this. Sorry for not responding sooner. I actually hope that is the case for this hoops season as it would make my job even better. 03-wink
