The lefty we needed to hopefully get by you guys is out the remainder of the season with an elbow injury. Early thoughts were to use Thornhill vs. atm and have Peters ready for the Owls. Dillon had already thrown 8 scoreless innings against Rice this year and of course Augie knows the struggles you guys have with lefties. Horrible loss for my Horns.
Tough to see so many pitchers go down with arm injuries. Hope that there is not any long-lasting damage...
That is a tough loss. We have lost two good pitchers this year as well. Best of luck against the Aggies and a speedy recovery for Dillon.

This should be a fun regional to watch. I believe 3 of the 4 teams competing have a real shot at winning it.

Go Owls!

Unfortunate without a doubt - best wishes for a speedy recovery for him. At least you had him for most of the season. As you will remember, Rice's ace and Friday starter (Stephens) was lost for the season after only 2 innings against UT at Minute Maid Park. In a strange twist, Rice and UT are each now down an ace for the playoffs, should they meet.
Yes, our pitcher Jordan Stephens left in the first game between the Owls and Horns and hasn't pitched since. Tough on the individual and his team. Best of luck to Dillon Peters (but glad we don't have to face him...)
Peters was listed as #114 by Baseball America in its current list of draft prospects.
