Now that we've lost three of our big men, I'm wondering if Toby Boeckman from the football team has considered playing basketball. He's listed at 6-7 and 250 and I believe he was a pretty fair player in high school at St. Henry which is a small school power.

Put him in and he'll literally eat up the paint.
Toby suffered an injury this year and was seen on crutches on the sidelines within the last couple of weeks, don't count on him. UC is trying to bulk him up for a move to OT so the coaches wouldn't want him dropping bulk to play BB IMO.
Pompey is HUGE, but S-L-O-W. He didn't even start for LaSalle.
I look for Goodman or another guard size player to be the next one to play both.

Goodman was originally signed by Findley (D II) to play basketball.
Since we are basing it on size alone should i play football? I am 6'5" 310 and leg press about 1400 lbs.. ?! And I definately run the 40 in under 4.9...
You know how sad it is that we are again talking about raiding the football team to make up for a think hoops roster. Just one year I'd like the have 13 guys who 1) are eligible and 2) aren't quitting, leaving for a week, coming back, then quitting again.
There aren't any excuses here just as their weren't when Huggs had players not be cleared by the NCAA.
