I recently got an e-mail from the Liberty Bowl in regard to Tiger Lane tickets going up from $150 per year which is $25 a game to $300 per year or $50 a game. I haven't been down there recently, but have they made improvements to warrant the increase? It sounds steep since you can get blue lot tickets for $65 a year. What's your opinion on this if you purchase Tiger Lane parking?
$300 is cheap for a Tiger lane spot.
More importantly, how does this impact our recruiting efforts ?
They priced the Tiger Lane spots too low to begin with. That is a fair price. But the price for a regular spot is going from $10 to $15. I think that is robbery. I get free parking due to my Tiger Club donation but I think that this will hurt the Tigers this year.

The moronic people in charge looked elsewhere and saw that someone else was getting more for their spots. So they naturally assumed that since someone else gets more that we should naturally get more. Not taking in account market factors.

Using their logic the Griz should be charging the same prices as the Lakers for tickets and parking.

Not sure. Lane Parking isn't showing up on Rivals.

Nothing has been done to improve the experience. It's simply the new group that saw there was a demand for spots. In reality, they'll get what they're hoping for here. Tiger Lane will still sell out and they'll get twice the revenue. But, it's pretty blatant and hard to swallow.

I split a couple spots with 7 or 8 different guys. In that aspect, it isn't too bad. But, it does kinda suck that I pay 5x for parking what I do for a freakin ticket to the game.
Real simple, if you want to "play" you gotta "pay". Sounds as if the demand is finally there, where there able to increase the price. That's a good thing in that there is building interest and demand that folks actually want to tailgate and go to legitimate football games!

The City of Memphis is broke and knows that the 4100 club will pay the doubling of the price for Tiger Lane parking and the 50% game day parking increase.
What's interesting is that the RV spots the city holds, which are $600 a season, haven't been renewing very well. The deadline is May 31st.

Interesting. Now if we were talking about the parking at the airport, that would definitely impact our recruiting.
Look, if you've ever parked on Tiger lane, you get the whole game day experience and at least a sense of what college football is supposed to be like. If you want to save a few bucks and park on asphalt that's your business. Tiger Lane is the best thing the Liberty Bowl has going imo.
