It could be my failing memory, but I don't remember seeing the alien hanging/swinging from the chains above Brett before he attacked him in the original film. You have to look closely when Brett looks up to let water hit his face at about the 1:23 mark. Could this be a clip from an extended version or director's cut?

Yeah, there is more to the story I'm sure. If I'm Joe, I take a year off and recharge my batteries and if the fire is still there then take the next managers job that is appealing.
