what is interesting about this is he thinks the ratings are
1 Alabama
2 Florida St
3 Ohio St
4 Oklahoma

not sure I really see that at all. I don't know if FSU is going to lose this year- and if that's the case they would be a clear #1 I think. Also tough to see Ohio St over Oklahoma. I know Palm is a pretty big Big Ten guy- so I wonder if he was being the romantic in having Ohio St pushed in the Rose Bowl even though they were 4th.

Some of his things though are garbage in other bowls. For instance, Notre Dame he's got going to a non ACC bowl. I'm sorry but there is 0% chance of that happening. I have more of a shot of being a mod on the ACC board than that.
So he has Cincy getting the G5 bid. Hmmm....can't wait for the season to start.

That may be because he has 11 of 14 ACC teams going to bowls. He has ND filling a Big 12 slot because he thinks they won't have enough qualified teams. Not sure where that bowl sits in the pecking order.

I get that- but no ACC bowl is going to pass up Notre Dame if they have a shot to pick them up.

What are the rules regarding who ND can jump? I wonder if he's saying the Irish are going to have an especially bad year.
I think it's 1 win- so if Notre Dame were 6-6, they couldn't pass any 8-4 teams but they could pass 7-5 teams. The odds that the ACC is going to have 10 teams at 8-4 is just about nil.

The only way that scenario happen is if the ACC agrees to let Notre Dame play in the BBW bowl.
it's even worse than it looked. Read a column he did- and he's got BC going to the Detroit bowl as a 5-7 team as the top APR 5-7 team. There's no chance of that happening period.

yeah and the ACC bowls would have to agree and that's just not going to happen in a trillion years.
No way the ACC let's ND slip to a minor bowl. There's too much money to be made. The ACC gets to share in the bowl revenue when ND gets assigned. The only way ND keeps the money is if they get invited to playoffs or access bowl.

100% agree...

must be a blue moon if we're agreeing on something :)
If Notre Dame is ranked higher than or equal to an ACC bowl-eligible team, or is within one victory of a bowl eligible team, the Irish can be selected for that bowl spot.
ND is going to have a much, much better team this coming season than a BWW Bowl slot, I believe.

In fact, I think they are going to be pretty damn good.

Before the "homer" tag comes out, people may remember I predicted they would be 7-5 or 6-6 before the 2012 season when they went 12-0.

I predict 10-2.
100 percent fact imo

I predict 10-2.

So what you are really saying Terry is that you are wrong about ND frequently?

Just bustin' your balls. ND's roster does shape up pretty well this year, although I feel 10-2 is a bit optimistic.
Palm is a moron.
I think somewhere along the way we stopped differentiating between predictions, actual predictions, and almost blind guesses.
