Has hired antitrust firm and will fight sanctions. This could get very very nasty before it ends.

I hope so. I love a good circus.
Man I hope this doesn't displace the ESPN gay agenda to much. I really want to know every detail about a 7th round football player's career.

If they had a gay agenda, they do a reality show about you.

Knew this would happen. Sterling may win too.
I just want to hear more of his thoughts on the The AIDS.

It's not likely. The problem is it might take years to resolve.
Lots of people leaping to defend the racist...

The thing I want to know is if they can make his wife sell her rights too.
She had no part in what happened with her husband.

Two things:

1) She was party to the property management that was stung by the housing discrimination lawsuit.
2) NBA by laws may give the other owners power to push her out. That's why Sterling went to an anti-trust lawyer because of the powers of the league versus individual owners.

Major difference between defending his views and defending his rights. Someday you also may be in his shoes where you disagree with the majority. Would you want to lose your rights just because you believe differently from the others? If someone is unable to comprehend this then they are just as closed minded as he is.

Never change, Donald. Never change.

Yea...
I listened to 'the AIDS' and that part about going straight to synagogue to pray for Michael Jordan and not condemning him for his bad deeds. I don't think I've ever seen a public interview like that. The followup with Sir Charles was telling. He asked CNN to stop.

Maybe someone is trying to get Sterling proved incompetent so that person can assume ownership...a couple of persons come to mind who might like to take over.

Highly doubt it'll even get past discovery. No way other NBA owners and family are ready to go under oath for depositions. Not really sure what's going to happen but as a 2L its always good to see high paying work is still out there. Saw a tweet from a sports-law guy the other day that was pretty funny. Something to the effect of "some of the richest lawyers in America have a losing record but rich clients."

Other NBA owners NOT wanting to go under oath benefits him. They would be more likely to lift restrictions if they are in a position where they must go under oath and have their dirty laundry exposed. If they do not want their skeleton to see the light of day they will do what ever they have to do to avoid going to trial. That woudl mean backing down. Can the NBA afford to have a number of items brought back to light. Such as claims of fixing series by the league office. The frequency that the city that will gain the most PR wise from the number one pick almost always winning the lottery. The secretly rehiring a number of game officials convicted of tax fraud. Would the NBA want Tim Donaghy to have free reign on the stand to bring a number of his accusations back into the national spotlight? So much stuff that is admissible in a civil case that could give the NBA a major black eye.

Saying Sterling may win and has many advantages in his corner is not akin to defending him. It's just having a very cursory understanding of the law.

To some you cannot have an open mind about something like this and look at it in a rational and factual way unless you agree with Sterling's beliefs. You must look at things through their eyes or else.

There is no right to an NBA team...they (NBA owners) have their own rules that they (NBA owners) all had to sign, including Sterling...the other NBA owners can vote him out, per their own rules.

lol, again you guys are acting like someone is taking away his civil rights...he voluntarily purchased an NBA team...per the NBA rules, that Sterling signed, he can be made to sell his team by a vote from the other NBA owners.
If it goes to court, and you bet it will, I think he'll win.
