UAT clause to finalizing the agreement to play the 2015 season at the Hoover Met. Looks like we'll be competing for butts in the seats.
There goes the students.
Wouldn't the Met be closer for them ?
Yes. It is closer.
Then the gumps should play in Hoover. Their team won't draw flies in downtown. Too many scary people (UAB students) close by. LOL
This doesn't concern me in the slightest

You mean we get to play in a state of the art stadium with all the amenities while they play in someone else's castoff?

Sanity will prevail and someone will step in and straighten it out. 03-wink
$35million baseball renovations...yeah, that seems responsible
They should play at Tuscaloosa County Hugh School. UAT abandoned Birmingham years ago. Let them stay in Tuscaloosa.
Meh, UAB will continue to draw it's loyal but small fanbase like it has been & maybe even pick up a few new fans that are finally realizing (too late this season) we are playing at Regions Field... I don't see this affecting UAB baseball attendance.
Really odd move. Can't see it helping their attendance at all. Crazy to think that a construction project couldn't be managed around the relatively lengthy parameters between a college baseball season, they must be really re doing the thing

Or maybe Tuscaloosa is angling for a minor league baseball team ?
They already have professional football. Why not?

They are not returning to Birmingham.

Cubby is involved, so you have your answer.
Hoover obviously begging for someone to use their park for something.

Well, if you live in Jefferson County you can get your license plate renewed there. They're using it for something. 03-lol
I recall they also have some Halloween event there.
