Tonight UL and South find out where they go. There will be a top four seeding in the half hour prior to the selection show. That show starts at 8:30 PM.

Unfortunately there will be no other participants this year. Your coaches need to visit RaginPagin and learn how to win the RPI game. One of our regulars is an RPI expert and proper scheduling can boost your teams RPI without ever being one bit better. Same for basketball, baseball.
I'm hoping and expecting to go to Tallahassee. One, because I don't want to go to Tuscaloosa again (yet anyway) and two, because I would like to repay the favor from last year. Go Jags! Go Cajuns!
UL with a #6 national seed. Congrats. Looking like Bama for us.
USA is the #2 seed in the Bama regional, playing USC Upstate first. Other teams are Bama and SIU Edwardsville.

UL's regional consists of UL, Mississippi State, Texas, and Texas Southern.
Lets put 2 in a super Regional!!!
11 SEC teams -- my goodness.

I was hoping South Alabama could get a top 16 seed and host.
Probably going to be some low scoring games in Tuscaloosa. All those teams have good pitching.

RPI of 21... wasn't quite good enough
Just wondering --- did the top 16 RPI teams all host?

Pretty close to it. I think only 1 team outside the top 16 RPI is hosting

When the rpi rankings come out tomorrow, Minnesota should be in the top 16 and Auburn should be out.

RPI is the king now in the regional selection process. If you're not in the top 16, you basically have no shot. In the Sun Belt, you have to stack the OOC schedule as much as possible to have a shot at a top 16 RPI. Sometime even that doesn't work.

The Cajuns went 52-4 a couple of years back (possibly one of their best teams in history personnel wise) with the #1 OOC RPI in the country and in the top 5 in all the polls but the conference games moved their RPI back to #12. They were seeded down to the #13 regional and had to to to Tempe for the SR against the AzSt team that won the championship the year before. Won the first one and lost the next two.
Shock the world South. Y'all got the pitching to do it!

South Alabama finished with the #18 RPI. Had the Jaguars beaten Louisiana on Saturday, South Alabama would have finished with the #15 RPI and would be hosting this weekend.
