We looked extremely nervous for the first 6 innings. Gave the Cajuns 3 runs off of errors. Cost us after our bats came alive in the 7th to make it a 1 run game. Had three more runners erased off the bases today. Our baserunning is awful still.

Bottom line, it was a very winnable game. Anytime you hold the Cajuns to 3 earned runs, you need to be winning. Credit to Ryan Wilson for shutting us down in the 8th and 9th after our pen quieted the Cajun bats.
USA over Georgia State 8-1. The year may be nearly over, but the bats are finally coming around. A grand slam last game and a two run homer over 385 yards and a 15 foot wall today. Also had a few to the warning track...this coming from a team that didn't have a home run for forever to begin the season. Maybe we can keep it going into the tourney.

For the first time is a while we won a Friday night game, winning 6-0 over Furman tonight. We are 11-11 in conference now and 29-19 overall. Maybe this win will get us going.

You have no idea how much play this series has gotten. Its been all that's been talked about on Campus for the last two weeks, we're expecting our largest crowds of the year for both games, and the players have had it drilled in their head that you had to play perfect baseball to win.

We were either nervous, or trying to hard to be perfect...one of the two. We're one of the top 25 defensive teams in the country...3 errors is shockingly bad.

Glad to hear it. I had to go out when it was 3-2 Troy and not looking good for the Cats.

I believe that would be feet. 385 yards would be 1155 ft. Not even Goldschmidt hits them that far.

Really I am proud that we were able to win the game against a worthy opponent at their park.
The Cajuns record this year is 42-6, but the most impressive may be that they are 15-1 on the road.
Where'd that one road loss come from?

At the end of the season, is it really gonna matter to anyone except the team that issued said loss?

It came from a program that hasn't lived up to the preseason hype of their fans!

Dude, stop piling on. We don't want to get the reputation that UL is the bully on the SBC board.
