Ill go ahead and post this propaganda before social conservatives do.
I wonder what this study would show about cigarettes...
The lack of exercise ups heart risk. Not sure if marijuana or cigarettes have anything to do with it other than my hypothesis that marijuana and cigarette smokers are much less likely to exercise regularly.

I"m guessing that sucking down most any inhalant into one's lungs isn't good for the human body, Marijuana included. Kinda makes sense that sucking smoke into the lungs isn't the most healthy of habits.

Propaganda? On what basis do you claim this study is propaganda? Just because a study says smoking pot causes heart problems is not something to be discounted as propaganda. Sensibilities are not the hallmark of lefters.
Just in:

Alcohol and Cigarettes might be bad for you.

Or smoking marijuana damages the heart. Stop making excuses. It's not safe. You can have your freedom, but don't fool yourself into thinking you are truly free.

I never said it was safe. I just don't think the damage to the heart is significant

You don't think? Do you have any medical data to counter the OP?

I gave my hypothesis for the correlation. Marijuana is not a stimulant and has nothing to do with the heart. I would be more apt to believe it causes psychological and brain issues as well as liver problems from long-term chronic abuse. If you want to protect your heart, exercise regularly and stay away from meth and cocaine.

That is false. Marijuana raises heart rate by 20-100 percent shortly after smoking; this effect can last up to 3 hours. In one study, it was estimated that marijuana users have a 4.8-fold increase in the risk of heart attack in the first hour after smoking the drug.

When I used to smoke, the initial stages caused my heart to race. However, I think the heart damage has a lot to do with the act of smoking. But I don't have any real data to back that up.

I don't recall my heart racing but it has been a long time. On a side note I can't imagine what Ritalin does to a child's heart. That drug should be 18+.

Anything that displaces oxygen in your body isn't going to be good for you...moving on.
If this is a legit reason for a ban we need to take a long hard look at trans fats impho

The ban has been in effect for a long time. The burden of argument to change is for legalization.

18 is not a medical right of passage.

You're trying to be funny but we had someone on here earlier talking about how if you smoke pot you cant get Alzheimer's disease.
