temple 2-10 (memphis & army)
usf 2-10 (cincy & uconn)

the bottom of the AAC is much weaker than the ACC and it is not even close.

virginia? ncstate? wake forest?..

I can't argue about USF last year, however Taggart is recruiting better than a good portion of the ACC, so USF should be back quickly. USF defeated both Clemson and FSU just a couple years ago.

for football??

the acc would have everything to lose and nothing to gain, outside of fsu and clemson (and VT depending on the year), anyone in our league is capable of beating the rest of the ACC on any given year. there could be a year that the acc went like 3-6 in the challenge and the acc would have to explain itself why it's a power conference and the AAC isnt

also don't think it's logistically possible, outside of the bottom half of the ACC, the top already has booked schedules

USF defeated both FSU and Clemson (and handily at that) within the past 3-4 years. Things go in cycles.

03-lmfao You're funny, John

The ACC is an awful football pig and adding lipstick isn't fooling anyone. 05-nono

For the 1-Millionth time... no one, and I mean NO ONE is afraid of you. It's just that your teams lack any 'real' value so it's not in the ACC's interest to play here.

You fellas have gotten more mileage out of 1 conference win than maybe any team in the history of Cfb... 03-phew

SEC has no reason to fear us, your blind you if you don't think we can be competitive with the acc

and "fear" isn't the right word more lack of incentive, the acc could take a real perception hit losing to our teams, and would honestly gain nothing beating us (remove fsu/clemson the talent level gap, football wise, isn't much, and losing becomes a reality)

did you watch the memphis duke game last year (our worst vs the acc's second best) despite duke winning it was an unrealistically close game

no-one in our league was capable of beating fsu but everyone else could have potentially lost to a team in the aac last year, and everyone in the aac could have beaten a team in the acc (depending on the right match-up)

and i don't like the word "fear" because i doubt the acc is scared and would win the challenge most years, but the problem is that theyd lose more in the 30-35% they lost the challenge/agreement than theyd gain in the 65% of times they won it

Who is the bigger dummy? The person trying to advance the thread, or the one attempting to troll and does absolutely nothing positively.
All we can do is win are out of conference games. The power conferences will be afraid of losing to a mid major FB League.
We need more money at least 10 mil a year to get respect.
We need to prove to the big boys that were a tough Football Conference that might take 3-4 years

We went 2-1 in our ACC-AAC scheduling agreement last season

This. ^

AAC teams have no problem competing with ACC teams. How did the old Big East do against them?

It is so funny to read this, from a fan of a program (Louisville) that had been on the outside looking in for so long...

Louisville only got in because they dug Maryland's membership certificate out of the trash... The Cards were looked down on; and it took ACC depletion for them to swallow the Cards presence.

Before that, "NO ONE was afraid of you. It's just that your teams lacked any 'real' value so it's not in the ACC's interest to play you.... BLA, BLA, BLA"

Douche

I can't stand people that forget where they came from.
It sounds like SOME games make sense, but an overall conference challenge may NOT.

Games I want to see:

FOOTBALL:
NC State (and others) vs. ECU
Pittsburgh (and others) vs. Cincinnati
Miami (and others) vs. UCF/USF
etc.

BASKETBALL:
Syracuse (and others) vs. UConn
Louisville vs. Memphis
various vs. Cincinnati
etc.
Hearing a SMU-NC State a home-and-home in hoops next year. Looking forward to that game. Should leave some comp tickets for Wake Forest AD, Ron Wellman
Why not. Any association with a P5 is good press for the AAC.
I would love to play ACC schools annually. From a marketing standpoint, I'm not sure that it benefits Tulsa or the Texans however.
While not a P5 conference, the MWC is more realistic.
we have ole miss, ucla and kansas on upcoming schedules. outside of vpi, fsu, clemson, ga tech, unc, or ncstate....not one frick given

Memphis just finished up a home & home with Duke IIRC. How'd that turn out?
I'm of the opinion that NC State-ECU should be played yearly no matter what

03-yes

None of the P5 leagues are going to enter into a scheduling-agreement that places (or seems to place) the American on an equal footing.

State might -- Might -- have been open to that idea when the ACC was playing a conference schedule of 7 or 8 games a season. Once they go to 9, they won't even consider it.
