Played high school football at Prattville...05-stirthepot
Since he played last year, he will have to sit out the 2014 season if he transfers to another D1 school. Will he now have 3 years to play 2 later? He will probably get a lot of offers from lesser division schools where he can play this season.
Brother is 2015 QB at Prattville...
We're trying to get to 20 scholarship quarterbacks.
Lots of QB transfers throughout college football after Spring practices...

Well McGee ran off all ours leaving new coach to search for one so why not. I saw that TexA&M's is looking to transfer but only has 1hr due to being graduate. He's got some big game time experience so might be worth something since we've no other qbs who've been in games.

as i mentioned in another thread, not uncommon to have 4-6 scholarship qbs. We only have three in spring (one coming off a shoulder injury) with one coming in the fall (possibly two) which would put us at 5.
The coaches are tied of throwing warm ups for wrs.

Cody Clements
Jerimiah Briscoe
Myles McKee
Taz Wilson
Evan Orth
Pat Thomas (greyshirt?)
That guy that transferred from Southern Miss

Mike Miller is non-scholarship, but he seems to me a mainstay on the roster.

Then, how many quarterbacks are we recruiting for next year:

Ryan Stanley (offered)
Cameron Tripp (offered)
Malik Henry (offered)
D.J. Pearson (offered)

Did I miss any?
Pat Thomas is heading to Louisville. Just judging by his twitter.

Pat Thomas is most likely not coming next year. Have not seen anything on the USM qb. McGee is a senior and will be gone after this year, Clements will be a senior next year. Just because we are recruiting 4 qbs doesn't mean we will sign 4 qbs. Most programs will sign 2 qbs per year
I have a strong suspicion that Whitlow will wind up at Bama State.
Not all QB's that get recruited remain QB's, either.

Very true!
Very true, but in Whitlow's case he was offered another position (WR) but chose to transfer in order to stay at QB. Are there any D1 schools in state where he might land? What other level in state schools might he choose (since he could play in 2014)?

Whitlow has family ties to Bama State and has grown up around the program and going to ASU games. He is very good friends with several guys on the team now and when we went up to play them last year he was very pumped to compete against the guys he was friends with and grew up with. I'm not sure if we have reached out to him or not.
At the spring game, we're going to unveil our new 4 QB, 2 TE set. 03-shhhh
Don't leak about our new Wild Card offense!
I envision a picture of Oprah with the wording on it - You are a QB, & you are a QB, & you are a QB.....

Yes. Alabama, Auburn, South Alabama, Troy, or UAB.

Either Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Birmingham-Southern, Huntingdon, Jacksonville State, Miles, North Alabama, Samford, Stillman, Tuskegee, or West Alabama.
